Blacberry 9720  ini mengusung sistem operasi BlackBerry 7 (BB OS 7) fitur untuk mengakses langsung ke BBM, Swipe to unlock, snap and share serta dibekali dengan tombol kamera langsung untuk mempermudah melakukan pemotretan.


Fitur untuk berbagipun semakin simpel, hanya dengan sekali ketik menggunakan fitur Multicast yang telah disematkan didalamnya. Melalui fitur ini kita dapat berbagi semua informasi, foto, gambar, dsb secara bersamaan ke semua social network seperti Facebook, Twitter maupun BBM itu sendiri.
